Sometimes even mortals like ourselves like to be treated like queens and there’s nowhere better to splash the cash than at a Swedish castle. Thessan, Martina and I decided to go away for a ‘girls only’ weekend. Thanks to our nation’s long history and the sheer amount of space that the countryside has to offer, there’s no shortage of grand old buildings you can sleep in – and Kronovalls Slott is one of them.
We decided to go there and booked a Slottsweekend deluxe which includes (except for one night and breakfast at the castle) afternoon tea, a guided tour at the castle with Champagne and wine tasting and a five course dinner with a ‘wine package’ included! The price for this is quite remarkable. Check out the full price list here.

The surroundings are beautiful and the castle is well reserved. They haven’t changed a thing the last century, which we like. A cool fact is that the earl couple Erik and Angelica Sparre still lives in one of the wings of the castle. The couple wanted the castle to stay vibrant and decided it should be run as a castle hotel. Like, Like, Like:-)

We had a perfect stay and enjoyed every second of it. Both Thessan and I have stayed at this castle before and we keep coming back because we like it so much. Kronovalls Slott is both a perfect romantic hideaway and a place to run off too when you need a relaxed weekend away from the busy city life.So if you want to stay at a Swedish castle in the south, this is the one to go to:-)
